Top AI Note Taking Tools for Busy Managers

Our top 13 note-takers that will make you a better leader in the long run. Join our Managers Hive round table, in Sept, to discuss why the benefits of being vulnerable outweigh the challenges.

Hello Waggle Community!

Did you know that September 15th is National Online Learning day?

It’s a moment to reflect on the importance of encouraging ongoing learning journeys, embracing remote/hybrid working and prioritizing a growth mindset.

This month we discuss top AI note-taking tools for busy managers so they can focus on leading better meetings and building high-performing teams.

We’re always looking for new ways to improve team effectiveness and we’ll give you the “foundational four” questions to ask your team.

Leadership challenges

As a new COO, I'm finding some days particularly challenging with back-to-back meetings. I'm already considering implementing a note-taker as I don't have an assistant. However, it doesn't seem easy to determine which one would not only be best for me but also for my team and the senior leadership I work with. What would you recommend that can make me feel organized?

Managers and teams are increasingly relying on AI note-taking tools. But, there’s dozens of these tools on the market- some better than others and it’s not easy to determine which tool to choose and on what basis.

As Waggle AI is also a note-taking tool, we’ve now done the research so you don't have to. Here are three key considerations to keep in mind when selecting an AI note-taking tool for you and your team.

1️⃣ Does it take accurate notes and generate summaries?

2️⃣ Can it identify and assign action items discussed on the call?

3️⃣ Will it give you feedback on the skills you demonstrated or could improve upon?

We've compiled a list of our top 13 tools, highlighting how each one meets one or more of these criteria.

What is new on the app

Add bot to specific meetings

Some of you mentioned not wanting to sync your calendar with Waggle but still want insights and to use the bot for some meetings. You can now do that! Just invite the bot to your meetings by providing the web conference link, and it will join.

This also means that if you're not using Google or Outlook, you can still use Waggle!

Integration with Outlook

This is a major update for us. We now have integrations with both Outlook and Google, which should meet the needs of most workspaces. Many of you have been waiting for this feature based on your feedback, and Outlook users can now take advantage of it!

Stop and resume recording

You can now pause and resume recordings without removing the bot. This is useful if there are sensitive conversations you don’t want recorded but still want to receive insights.

Notification when Waggle AI joins meetings

Waggle now sends a message in the chat when it joins a meeting, so all participants are aware of its presence. This ensures transparency and prevents confusion about the bot’s role during the meeting.

In our latest "Grown, not Born" series, we speak to a remarkable leader who has journeyed from stockbroking to tech operations at Uber. Huw now uses a team building framework that was developed during his time at Gyre.

It centers around four foundational questions:

  1. Do we have a commitment to growth?

  2.  Do we know what our goals are?

  3. Do we know how to get there?

  4. Are we getting the best from each other?

By asking, "are these are in place?", leaders and managers can diagnose issues, track performance, and continually improve team dynamics in any work environment.
